Board Game and Table Top Projects
Role: Writer, Designer, and Artist

Adventures in Digital Cardboard
In my free time I occasionally design board games or make small tabletop prototypes. Some are simple dueling card games that make use of trick-taking mechanics, while others are more elaborate fan projects. Several are available for free on Table Top Simulator.
My Role

For these projects I:
-
Design and develop unique mechanics
-
Iterate on player boards, game maps, and cards.
-
Create 2D art assets that are then converted into appropriate game components on digital platforms like Table Top Simulator, or similar.
-
Design and create Rule Books and Sell-Sheets for the final games.
Game Design and Asset Creation
Iterations Galore
While there's no substitute for a sturdy card or a hefty dice rolling around in your hand, digital platforms make it very easy to quickly iterate on designs and systems.

Here you can see the difference between the initial player board and a later iteration for our game "Big Shot Bounties."

Our maps also evolve many times before taking on their final shape.
The majority of the table top projects I have worked on are purely for entertainment and do not meet a commercial standard, but they have been a great way to improve my design capabilities and asset creation skills, be it 3D modeling, graphic design, or even creating rule-book layouts.
